BASIC B.Sc. NURSING

Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a graduate-level professional programme of four years duration. The course is designed to prepare students as professional nurses with strong theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and ethical values. B.Sc. Nursing provides comprehensive training to develop competent nursing professionals capable of working in hospitals, community health settings, and educational institutions.

Duration of Course:
The duration of the Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree course shall be 4 years. The course is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and affiliated to the concerned State/University authorities.

Annual Intake:
40 Students

Eligibility Criteria:
• Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
• Maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (12 years schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board.
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together, and pass in English individually.
• Candidates from State Open School or National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by Government are eligible with science subjects and English.
• English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for admission to B.Sc. Nursing.
• Candidate must be medically fit.

Selection Process:
Selection of candidates shall be based on merit in the qualifying examination (10+2) and/or entrance examination such as CET / NEET or any other exam prescribed by the competent authority for the admission year.
* The mode of admission may be revised from time to time as per directives of the competent authority.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo personal interview, document verification, and medical fitness examination. The decision of the admission committee shall be final.
